Changelog
What's new on SCarchive. The catalog data itself refreshes with every Star Citizen game patch; this page tracks changes to the site.
June 19, 2026
Star Citizen 4.8.2
- Updated the whole catalog to game patch 4.8.2 — every ship, weapon, component, item and price now reflects the live 4.8.2 build.
- Two ships joined the catalog: the Gatac Railen and the Gatac Tyilui.
- Refreshed specs for several ships, including the Argo MOLE, the Drake Clipper, Cutter and Vulture, the Greycat ROC, the MISC Prospector and the RSI Salvation.
- Commodity buy/sell prices refreshed from the latest crowdsourced UEX data.

Guides & activity walkthroughs
- New Guides section (under Tools): step-by-step walkthroughs for Star Citizen activities and events — starting with the Hathor “Align & Mine” orbital-laser mining run — with requirements, rewards, an FAQ, and links into every ship, location, mineable and creature they mention.
- Each guide is researched and fact-checked by a dedicated AI workforce that searches and cross-references multiple sources across the internet — the Star Citizen Wiki and community activation guides — to keep the steps accurate to the current patch.
- Guides feed the AI assistant too: it can answer “how do I do Align & Mine?” and point you straight to the walkthrough.

Linked item pages & system-wide mining
- When the same material appears as a Commodity, a Mineable and a Harvestable (e.g. Amioshi Plague), the pages are now connected — each one pulls in the others' details inline (trade prices & terminals, mining stats, where to harvest) and links across, matched by name. No more dead-ends between the three views of one item.
- Location pages for planets, stars and whole systems now roll up what's mined on their moons and asteroid fields, grouped by body — so opening Crusader or the Stanton system shows everything mineable in its orbit instead of an empty list (deposits live on the moons, not the gas giant).
June 5, 2026
Ore Processing — refinery yield & profit planner
- New Ore Processing tool (under Tools): load a cargo of raw ore and see the refined yield, processing time, refining fee, the best place to sell each material, and your net profit — built to mirror the in-game refinery work order.
- Pick what you're optimizing — max profit, max yield, least time or lowest cost — and the best refining method is auto-picked for each material (labelled “Preset”); override any of the nine methods per material to compare.
- Refinery yields use the community-standard refining model; sell prices and best terminals come from the same crowdsourced UEX data as the rest of the site.

Mining Planner — suggested route
- The Mining Planner now plans a route: the fewest places to mine that together cover your whole list — worked out per star system (since one trip stays in-system), showing each stop's appearance % and linking to the location pages.
- Your blueprint cart now sticks around between visits — selections and craft counts are saved in your browser.
- Fixed Aluminum showing as “not minable”: the game files spell the ore “Aluminium”, which kept it from matching its mining locations.
June 2, 2026
Mining Planner
- New Mining Planner (under Tools): add the blueprints you want to craft, set how many of each, and get a consolidated mining list — which materials, how much (SCU), and where to mine each, with appearance % and links to the location & material pages.
June 2, 2026
Mining appearance % — by location and by resource
- Location pages now list their mineable resources with each one's appearance % (e.g. Pyro I → Iron 32.7%, Copper 32.6%, Tin 32.6%, Stileron 2%), derived from the game's harvestable spawn tables.
- Mineable pages' "Where to mine" now shows each location with the resource's % there, linked both ways.
June 2, 2026
Where to mine each resource
- Mineable pages now show where each ore & gem can be found, straight from the in-game Mining Compendium — with links to the location pages wherever the spot matches our catalog.
- The AI can answer “where can I mine Stileron?” and “what ores are on Daymar?”.
June 2, 2026
Crafting quality calculator — per-material breakdown & live stats
- Blueprint pages now model crafting quality the way the game does: one card per material slot (Shell, Barrel, Frequency Controller…) showing the exact stat that material's quality scales, with a live quality slider.
- Each stat shows base → crafted values (e.g. Shield Max Health 100,000 → 120,000) wherever the crafted item is in our catalog — shields, quantum drives, power plants, coolers, radars, weapons (incl. tractor beams) and armor.
- Along the way we fixed several data gaps: multi-stat slots, the full quality curve (we were reading only half), additive modifiers (e.g. Power Generation +2), and crafted-item ingredients that were missing entirely.
June 2, 2026
Salvage tools catalog
- New Salvage Tools catalog (under Components) for ship salvage modules — scraper modules and buff modifiers — with hull-scraping speed, radius and extraction efficiency from the live patch.
June 2, 2026
Crafting ingredients link to their source
- Blueprint ingredients now link straight to each material's page — raw ores to the Mineables catalog, refined goods to Commodities — so you can jump from a recipe to where to get each material.
- Corrected a handful of mis-named materials in the process (e.g. the rare Pyro ore Stileron, which the game files misspell).

Floating ⌘K search
- The global search moved out of the top bar into a floating ⌘K bar that tucks away as you scroll down and reappears when you scroll up — keeping the header uncluttered on every screen size.
- Detail pages now use the full page width.

Renamed to SCarchive
- SCodex is now SCarchive, with a new home at scarchive.live — same data, same tools, new name.
- Why the rename: an unrelated, no-longer-maintained “SCodex” already existed on a different domain. To avoid any confusion or conflict down the line, we moved to a fresh name.

Facility-delve contracts & blueprint drops
- Captured the ASD/Hockrow “Jorrit Dossier” facility-delve contract chains we were missing, and mapped each mission to the exact blueprints it drops — e.g. the Fresnel “Icebox” Energy LMG comes from “Jorrit Dossier: Updated Power Usage Data”.
May 31, 2026
Commodity prices & trade locations
- Commodity pages now show real buy/sell prices (aUEC/SCU) and the actual terminals to buy & sell at, sorted by best price — crowdsourced from UEX.
- This replaces the old category-based trade guide; the AI can now answer “best place to sell Agricium” with prices.
May 31, 2026
Where to buy & rent ships
- Ship pages now list the actual terminals where you can buy or rent each ship in-game (e.g. New Deal – Lorville), with the price at each, sorted cheapest first.
- The AI can answer “where can I buy/rent the X”.
May 31, 2026
In-game ship prices
- Ship pages now show the cheapest in-game buy & rent price (aUEC), crowdsourced from UEX.
- The AI can answer “cheapest ship to buy/rent” and sort ships by price.
May 31, 2026
Ship images & dimensions
- Ship pages now show the official RSI image, production status (flight-ready / in development), dimensions, mass, and a link to the RSI page — sourced from the public RSI Ship Matrix.
- The AI can filter by production status and sort ships by mass or length.
May 31, 2026
Ground vehicles split out
- Ground vehicles now have their own page at /ground-vehicles; the Ships catalog lists flyable ships only.
May 31, 2026
Mining tools, melee & grenades
- Gear now includes mining gadgets (OptiMax, BoreMax…), melee weapons and grenades, browsable under the Gear menu.
May 31, 2026
Weapon attachments
- New Weapon Attachments section — FPS optics, sights, barrels, suppressors, magazines and underbarrel mods with size, magazine capacity and zoom.
May 31, 2026
Ship shields & fuel
- Ship pages now show shield HP and hydrogen + quantum fuel capacity, resolved from each ship's component loadout.
- The AI can sort ships by shield HP or fuel.
May 31, 2026
Ground vehicles
- Ground vehicles (Cyclone, ROC, Mule, Greycat PTV, Ballista and more) now appear in the Ships catalog, badged by movement type (Ground / Gravlev).
- The AI can filter ships vs ground vehicles.
May 31, 2026
Missiles & Torpedoes
- New Missiles & Torpedoes section — every missile, torpedo and bomb with its tracking type (IR/CS/EM), lock time, speed, range and warhead damage.
- The AI can compare ordnance — e.g. “best size-2 IR missile by damage” or “hardest-hitting torpedo”.
May 31, 2026
Turrets, missile racks & countermeasures
- Three new ship-component categories — turrets, missile racks, and countermeasure launchers — added to the Components catalog (and the Weapons menu).
May 31, 2026
Ship specs & performance
- Ships now show role, career, cargo capacity (SCU), SCM/boost/max speed, quantum speed and hull HP — resolved from each ship's component loadout.
- Ship search gained min-cargo / role filters and sorting by cargo or speed, so the AI can answer “which ship has the most cargo” or “fastest ship”.
May 31, 2026
Commodity trade locations
- Commodity pages now show a “Where to trade” section — the locations that sell and buy each commodity, derived from the game's category tags.
- The AI can answer “where can I sell / buy X”. Note: this is category-level (all metals share one set) and there are no prices — the live economy isn't in the game files.
May 31, 2026
Jump Points
- New Jump Points section — the interstellar wormhole routes between solar systems, marked “live” (traversable now, e.g. Stanton ↔ Pyro) or “planned” (defined in the data, not yet active).
- The AI can now answer routing questions like “how do I get from Stanton to Pyro” or “which jump points are live”.
May 31, 2026
Mineables
- New Mineables section — every mineable ore & gem with its mining stats (resistance, instability, optimal charge window).
- The AI can now answer mining questions like “easiest ore to mine” or “most unstable mineable”.
May 31, 2026
Manufacturers
- New Manufacturers section — browse every manufacturer (Aegis, Drake, MISC, Origin, RSI…) and see all the ships, weapons, components and gear they make.
- The AI assistant can now answer manufacturer questions like “who makes the most ships” or “what does Drake make”.
May 30, 2026
Discoverability & polish
- Major SEO pass — every item page now has its own title, description, canonical URL and breadcrumb data so it can be found on Google.
- Added privacy-friendly analytics.
- This changelog 👋 — track what's new from the footer.
